My name is Lin Pernille Kristensen. I am 17 years old and a senior at Communications High School. When I was fourteen, I discovered my passion for photography and ever since I have been developing my knowledge and talent for photography.

My high school is part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District, a series of five honors vocational career academies that only admit 80 students from across the county. I have had the opportunity to take several art and photography classes at my school including Photojournalism, Advanced Digital Photography, Visual Communications, and Advanced Graphic Design. I am co-president of the Photography Club at my school, Captain and Co-founder of the Dance Club, and an active member of SkillsUSA (for which I competed last year and won the Bronze Medal in the State Photography Competition), National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and National Art Honor Society.

I plan to attend Montclair State University and receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a Specialization in Photography. My dream job is to be a fashion photographer for my favorite magazine Allure, but I enjoy all fields of photography and would be happy being a commercial photographer, photojournalist, photo editor for a magazine, owning my own studio, or any other career path in photography.

I have received awards in state photography competitions, I have received invitations to sell my photos on GettyImages, I have had over 70 pictures featured on Flickr Explore, and I have had my photos published in local and world-wide magazines.
